Rain boots for grey days

¡Buenos días! Aunque aquí en México de buenos tienen poco. Otra vez entra huracán y no para de llover, no acabamos de salir de uno cuando nos entra otro, en fin, para los días lluviosos no hay nada mejor que un buen par de rain boots. Estas me encantan porque se salen un poco de las tradicionales "Hunter Wellies" que todo mundo tiene, además de ser super calientitas porque están forradas por dentro. Este tipo de sweater/vestido me encantan, los puedes usar así con botas o con medias y tacones e incluso en esos días de diciembre que acostumbramos aquí en México (con tardes de sol y calorcito) solo con unos buenos tacones. Al final para salir de casa me lo puse con una chamarra de piel negra por si hacia falta ir un poco mas calientita y la verdad que completó el look, lástima que tuve que salir corriendo a clases y ya no hubo tiempo de volver a tomar las fotos.¿Que opinan, ya tienen un vestido/sweater para este invierno?

Hey dolls! Huracaine season isn't over for Mexico, sadly we are getting hit by another one and the rain just wont go away (yes, I'm singing the tipical "rain, rain, go away...." song in my head haha). I had to put on my black rain boots which I love not only because they are not the tipical "Hunter Wellies" but also because they are lined with comfy warm fabric on the inside. I really like this kind of sweater dresses, you can pair it with boots, like I did this time, or with tights and heels, you can even wear it only with heels if you have Mexican winter kind of weather (sunny and warm afternoons but still just a bit chilly). At the last minute I decided to wear a leather jacket on top just in case I got a cold but I was running late for class so we couldn't make any more pictures. ¿Do you like it? ¿How would you wear this sweater?

Tartan Lace tomboy

¡Buenos días! Finalmente es viernes y el fin de semana pinta bien. La mejor manera de aplicar las tendencias es en los accesorios ya que muchas veces nos dan más juego. Luego te compras la faldita tartan (de Zara...) que con dos veces que te la pongas ya todos te vieron y se acuerdan perfecto. Esta bufanda de la nueva temporada de Zara me encanto, tanto la doble vista que tiene como lo suavecita que está. Como ya iran viendo me ENCANTA usar sueteres de hombre, son súper comodos y abrigadores, son un buen reemplazo para un abrazo de tu novio cuando no te lo puede dar. Este día estaba super encaprichada con estrenar mis botines y como todavía no hace frío del todo opte por ponermelos con estos shorts de encaje para jugar con las texturas. ¿Que tal les parece?

Hey everyone! Friday is finally here and I'm really excited for the weekend. I find that the easiest way to use new trends is with accesories, you can use them many more times because they are more subtle. I love this tartan scarf for its 2-side view and softness. As you will see I LOVE using men's sweaters, I find them comfy and perfect to snuggle in. I was so stubborn on using my new booties but the day was a bit warm so I paired them with these lace shorts that also mix textures. What do you think?

Paisley Maxi Dress

¡Buenos días! ¿Que tal les fue de lunes? No muy pesado espero. Continuamos con los posts del viaje ántes de que cambie por completo el clima y entre el otoño con todo. Este look lo utilicé para el primer día, de dos, que pasamos en Estambul, Turquía. Está ciudad rápido y fácilmente se convirtió en una de mis favoritas. Se me hizo super interesante encontrar otra ciudad como el DF llena de contrastes y un aire surrealista en la cual conviven dos culturas completamente diferentes. Este día lo provechamos para conocer lo más que pudimos visitando la Mezquita Azul, Santa Sofía, el Gran Bazar y la Basílica Cisterna, además de caminar por sus callecitas absorbiendo la cultura.

En cuanto a la elección del outfit para este día había que considerar que Turquía es un país casi 100% musulman y, aunque es de los menos estrictos, hay que respetar la cultura e ir un poco mas tapadas. Decidí usar un vestido largo con un estampado paisley en rojos, rosas y corales que queda muy bien con el contraste de la piel morenita. Me gusta romper un poco este tipo de vestidos con un cinturón finito para alargar la figura. Como yo soy algo chaparrita este vestido suelo ponérmelo con mis sandalias de Pedro García (aquí). ¡Espero les guste!

Hey everyone! How was your monday? Today we continue with the posts from my recent trip before fall comes completely into action. I used this look for our first, of two day stay, in Istanbul, Turkey, I quickly fell in love with this city that reminded me a bit of my home town, Mexico City with all its contrasts and touch of surrealism. We walked around all of Istanbul's center and visited the Blue Mosque, Saint Sofía, the Great Bazar and the Cistern Basilica, as well as walked around the little streets.

While getting dressed I had to consider that Turkey is an islamic country, even if it's not that strict, and we have to respect their customs and cover up a little. I chose to wear this paisley maxi dress which with its reds, pinks and corals looks great against tan skin. I like to break this kind of dresses with a skinny belt to elongate the figure. I'm not the tallest girl around so I have to wear this kind of dresses with big wedges like my Pedro Garcia ones (here). Hope you like it!

All white in Santorini

¡Buenos días! Finalmente es viernes y justo toca un post que me ilusiona mucho enseñarles. Nuestra primera parada del crucero fue en la isla de Santorini, Grecia. Inmediatamente me enamore, para donde voltearas todo era bonito y sencillo, la combinación del blanco y el azul de las casas con un toque por aquí o por allá de rosa de las bugambilias. Hacía un solazo y un calor que no vean pero valió la pena con el atardecer que la isla nos regaló. 

Para este día escogí un vestido blanco marfil que tiene toda la espalda de encaje con complementos en camel para combinar un poco con la isla. Nuevamente un vestido de Cosette jaja arrase con la tienda en mi última visita. Estrené mi nueva bolsa en forma de saco de monedas que me acompañó todo el viaje por ser súper cómoda y, aunque pequeña, le caben un montón de cosas (caja de los lentes, cartera, etc.). El toque de color se lo dí con unas cuantas pulseras fluor para quitarle un poco lo aburrido. No podían faltar mis sandalias "gladiadoras" que me acompañan a donde vaya...claro, mientras que haga sol. Como siempre anduve haciendole al monito por toda la isla y trepandome por todos lados jaja hasta que no me caiga de algún lado no aprenderé.

Hey everyone! Finally it's friday and today I come to you with a post I'm really excited to show you. Our first stop was in Santorini, Greece. I immediatley fell in love, the combination of white and blue of the houses and the contrast with the pink flowers is just breathtaking. It was a really hot and sunny day but was totally worth it at the end of the day with the beautiful sunset we got to see.

I chose an ivory dress with a lace back and tan accesories to go a little with the island. I used my new "money pouch" style bag, it's comfy and small but you can fit lots of stuff in it (sunnies case, wallet, etc.). I had  to wear my gladiator sandals that go with me wherever I go...if it's sunny of course. As always I went all "monkey mode on" and climbed wherever I could, one day I'm going to fall and it wont be nice haha.

Comimos en el delicioso restaurante de Mama Thira que tiene la mejor vista y la mejor comida. Les recomiendo pedir el pulpo a la parrilla y las albondigas.

We ate at Mama Thira restaurant, it had the best view for the sunset and grest food. I recommend the grilled octopus and the meatballs, they were fantastic.

Mis primeros pasos

Bueno...empezamos con este nuevo proyecto! a ver que tal nos va! Los zapatos son algo que siempre me han vuelto loca, desde el primer par de (mini) tacones rojos de charol que me trajo mi papá de un viaje a Italia. Ahora se queja de que tengo demasiados jaja pero el es el culpable así que...sorry papi. Llevo ya algún tiempo con el gusanito de querer empezar mi propio blog y finalmente me he animado. Espero que les guste!

Este primer post viene de un viaje que acabo de realizar con el motivo de la boda de un primo en las afueras de París en un pueblito llamado Le Brusc, un lugar super mono con un encanto pintoresco que casi casi podría haber salido de un cuento de Disney. Les enseño el outfit que lleve a la boda. Esta vez me salí de lo tradicional y aposté por un jumpsuit azul bebe al cual para darle más juego agregue un cinturon "faja" plateado junto con un maxi collar que fue el que realmente completó el look. La propiedad donde se llevó acabo la celebración era tan bonita que no me pude resistir el andar como pulguita por todos los rincones haciendome fotos, no podíamos desperdiciar tantos fondos bonitos.

And we're off!! Shoes have always played a big part in my life, since the first pair of red "heels" (thwy were tinny) my dad brought from a trip to Italy. I've had the idea to start my own blog for a while and finally got the courage to make it. Hope you like it!

This day I was going to a wedding in the cutest little french town of Le Brusc were my cousin got married. I chose to go a little out of the box and not wear the traditional dress and go for a baby blue jumper I bought on my last trip to Madrid. I added a big silver belt and a chunky necklace to add a little sparkle that really completed the outfit. The property where the wedding took place was amazing and I couldn't resist taking pictures in every corner.
