How to rock a leather jacket and fur vest like OP

Hola bonitas, antes que nada quería decirles ¡Feliz año nuevo! ¿Qué tal lo pasaron estas vacaciones? Yo vengo con las pilas recargadas y mil y un propósitos para este año, empezando un nuevo libro después del sube y baja que fue el año pasado.

Este look está cargado de varios de mis elementos favoritos, tiene la combinación perfecta del toque rockero y femenino, justo como me gusta. Para romper con el look total black le añadí un chaleco de pelo blanco con gris que ademas de darle un aire de glamour a lo OP es super calientito. Las chamarras de piel siempre son garantía en mi opinión, esta la tengo desde hace 4 años y le he sacado un jugo impresionante. 

Ya saben que soy súper fan de las faldas y para mí no hay mejor manera de combinarlas que con unas medias de plumeti (confieso que son una de mis adicciones este invierno) y con unos stilettos para completar el look. ¿Ustedes ante qué tendencia han sucumbido este invierno?

For the first outft of the year I chose a little rock-glamour outfit just like I like it. Combining a leather jacket with a fur vest always gives you this edge and gives it a OP vibe. I love skirts for all of the options they give us and in the winter there's no better way to combine them than with polka dot tights and a pair of stilettos.

Ice Ice Baby

¡Hola! Hoy les traigo un "rule breaker" hecho y derecho. Esa regla de no poder usar blanco para el invierno siempre ha chocado un poco conmigo. El blanco roto o un blanco con texturas puede ser uno de nuestros grandes aliados. Esta falda de Zara estuvo en mi wish list por varias semanas hasta que por fin la encontré. Me encanta su vuelo y se me hace que tiene el largo perfecto para cualquier ocasión. Quise hacer un look con inspiración Celine pero sin irme por el look total white agregando este sueter corto en gris muy clarito. El clutch de leopardo rompe un poco con la pulcritud de todo, lo considero el toque perfecto. 

Así me vestí para la premiación de "La Mujer del Año" que le fue otorgada a la Secretaria de Salud, Mercedes Juan, en la cual tuve la oportunidad de conocer y hablar con unos mujerones que no tienen idea, entre ellas a la ministro de la Suprema Corte, Olga Sánchez Cordero.

Hey dolls! Today's outfit is a complete rule breaker. Who said no white after Labor Day? I love incorporating off white or white clothing in different textures for a special look during the winter. I love the fullness in the skirt and consider it's the perfect lenght for any occasion. I wanted to give the Celine total white look a twist and added this very pale gray sweater and threw in my leo clutch to give it a bit a rock and roll vibe. What do you think?

I wore this outfit for the "Woman of the Year" gala in which I got to meet and talk to some amazing women amongst which I found the Supreme Court Justice Olga Sánchez Cordero.

Burgundy Christmas

¡Hola bonitas! ¿Que tal el fin de semana? El mío estuvo muy activo y ya les traeré algunos looks perfectos para las fiestas decembrinas. Hoy toca un outfit casual perfecto para un domingo de cine. Como ya les he dicho el burdeos es un color que me fascina, se me hace muy dinámico y que lo podemos incluir en nuestros looks de maneras inumerables. Este sueter me encanta por el detalle de la espalda (¿Quién no ama un buen detalle sorpresa en la espalda?) tanto así con una camisa abajo o para el día sin nada y dejar que luzca el escote. Finalmente les enseño una de mis bufandas consentidas de la temporada esta bufanda/manta, como yo le digo, se ha vuelto una de mis compañeras inseparables, tiene mil y un combinaciones además de ser ultra calientita. This burgundy sweater with the criss-cross back goes perfectly with an undershirt or without it to add a sexy touch. During winter, burgundy is my go to color, I can find a million ways to incorporate it into my outfits. Wedding look Low Cost

¡Finalmente he terminado con los exámenes y me fue muy bien! :) Hoy les traigo un look de boda accesible para todas. Luego para este tipo de eventos nos choca repetir vestidos y en temporada de bodas no hay cartera que nos aguante el paso. Este día recorrí mil y un tiendas buscando un vestido para la boda de una de mis amigas del cole (claro, típico yo de dejarlo para último momento). Entre a Zara por una falda y camisa que quería para mi cena de thanksgiving y me encontré con esta joyita! El vestido es super sencillo pero el escote en la espalda le da un toque especial. Al ser tan simple el vestido opte por ponerle accesorios súper llamativos y claro taconazo rojo. Como la boda era de noche le puse un abrigo de pelo negro encima que le quedó genial, súper elegante. El collar me lo trajo mi mamá de un viaje y fue amor a primera vista, ¿ustedes que opinan? Mil besitos.

Hey dolls! Well I've finally finished with my finals so you'll have me here more often. Wedding season is in full throttle and there is no wallet that can survive wearing different dresses for each one. I found this dress unexpectedly in Zara and I had to buy it. It's a very simple dress but with the right accessories it can go a long way. I decided to add this beautiful necklace and red pumps that took the whole outfit to the next level. I paired it with a black fur coat since it was cold at night and to give it an elegant touch. So, what do you think? xx

Rules to wearing leggings

Una pequeña pausa de estudio para abordar este tema. Estos últimos días he pasado mucho tiempo en la universidad y me di cuenta que estamos en plena temporada de leggings, me atrevería a decir que 3 de cada 5 niñas traen leggings pero no todas hacen uso adecuado de ellos. Pueden ser de lo mejor que nos puede pasar o pasar a ser una completa pesadilla por lo que les quería dar unos consejillos respecto a su uso.

Para empezar considero que tenemos que entender bien lo que estos son, mallas muy gruesas y usarlos como tal. Al escoger tu outfit imagínate que fueran más transparentosos y seleccionar las demás prendas conforme a esto.

Leggings season has officially started so I decided to make a quik guide on how to wear them, some basic rules to consider before you leave your house, or the store with a pair of leggings. They can be every girls best friend or our worst enemy.

Just as a reminder leggings are basically thick tights so construct your outfit taking this into consideration.

No. 1

Cerciorarte que son gruesos (una buena opción son los de Zara). Si no son 100% gruesos, aunque los veas bien en tu cuarto, al momento que les da el sol o la luz de un foco se pueden transparentar y es lo último que queremos que nos pase.

Really check how thick they are. Sometimes they might seem they are thick enough but  when sunlight or any light hits them they become a bit see through.

 

No. 2

Con respecto a lo que mencionamos al principio, los leggings son mallas gruesas, por lo que siempre se tienen que usar con blusas o sueter largo. Estos deben siempre llegar mínimo abajo de la ingle (no quieres andar con un "camel toe" por la vida, por lo mismo también no se los suban demasiado) y cubrir lo que más se pueda de las pompas, de preferencia cubrirlas en su totalidad. 

As we said before, leggings are thick tights so they must be worn with a long shirt or oversized sweater. They must cover your crotch completely (beware of the camel toe, also avoid wearing them too high) and most of your butt area, if you can, cover them completley.

 

No. 3

Blancos NUNCA, a demás de que casi el 100% de las veces son transparentosos, marcan cada detalle de tu cuerpo (si niñas, resaltan hasta la mas mínima celulitis que tengan, si tienen mucha limítense a los leggings con estampados). En general recomiendo evitar los colores claros.

NEVER wear white leggings, they are almost always see through and will highlight any imperfections you have such as celullite (if you have any stick to printed ones). I would recommend avoiding any light colored ones.

 

No. 4

Usen tanga. Como para cualquier outfit es necesario usar la ropa interior adecuada y esta debe ser imperceptible para el público por lo que ver el calzón de abuela no es grato para nadie.

Use a thong. Like for any clothing one must wear the appropiate underwear, no one wants to see your granny panties.

 

No. 5

Escojan su talla adecuada. Esta regla aplica para toda nuestra ropa pero en el caso de los leggings, al ser stretch, nos podemos engañar y comprar una talla más pequeña (marca las lonjitas) o una más grande (se te ven aguados y poco favorecedores).

Chose your size. Ill fitting clothes are one of our biggest mistakes and leggings are not the exception. Even if they are made out of stretchy fabric wearing a size too small will create a muffin top or a size to big will make them look too saggy.

Jeweled sweatshirt for a casual look

¡Hola, hola!¿ Qué tal les fue de puente, aprovecharon el Buen Fin? Yo me quede en México y lo dedique al "estudio" jajaja porque la verdad me hice un poco pato y fui al cine y demás. Hoy les traigo un look casual con una combinación que me encanta. Últimamente veo mucho la combinación de sudadera con camisa de vestir, al principio no me hacía mucho sentido pero la verdad ya le agarre el gusto. Las sudaderas "joya" son una buena opción ya que no se ven tan fachosas y las podemos encontrar ya en muchas tiendas. Como este outfit lo utilice para ir al cole decidí combinarlo con mis Superga que tenía un poco abandonados, otra opción sería con bailarinas pero hacía un poco de frío por lo que quise ir más tapada. ¿Qué opinan, sudaderas si, o no?

Hey guys! Today's outfit is a simple casual look with a jeweled sweatshirt combined with a button up shirt. At first I wasn't completely sure about combining sweatshirts with everyday outfits but I'm starting to add them to my everyday looks. Jeweled sweatshirts are a great options when doing so since they add a dressier touch and I've been seing them in many stores. I added my Supergas, which I had a little abandoned I must confess. You can also add a pair of ballerina flats but that day was a tad cold so I wanted a bit more coverage. What do you think about sweatshirts with everything?
